Terms of Use

Effective date: October 22, 2026

These terms apply to the Beepout: Arrow Escape Puzzle app ("Beepout", "the app") and this website. Beepout is made by Quang Trung Nguyen, an individual developer based in Australia ("I", "me"). By using the app you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Your licence to use the app

You get the app from Apple's App Store. Your use is covered by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"), and these terms add to it. If the two conflict, the Standard EULA wins. I give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Beepout on Apple devices you own or control, for your own fun.

2. Free with ads

Beepout is free to download and play. It shows ads from Google AdMob, as described in the privacy policy. Optional videos give you a hint or let you refill your hearts and continue. Watching them is always your choice, and they give no cash value.

3. Purchases

A one-time Remove Ads purchase is planned. When it is available, it is sold and processed by Apple under Apple's terms, and refund requests go to Apple. Remove Ads turns off ads between levels and other ads that you didn't ask for; it is tied to your Apple Account and can be restored on your other devices with Restore Purchases. Hints, rewards and Bot Bay items have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money.

4. Game Center

Leaderboards and achievements use Apple Game Center, which is subject to Apple's terms. Please play fair: don't use cheats, modified copies of the app or automated tools to change scores. I may ask Apple to remove scores that are clearly not genuine.

5. Things you may not do

6. Ownership

The app, its levels, the bots and their art, sounds, text and the Beepout name belong to me or my licensors. These terms don't give you any rights to them beyond the licence above.

7. Changes to the app and these terms

I may update the app, add or change levels and features, or stop offering it. Your progress is stored on your device, so you can keep playing the version you have. If I change these terms, I will update this page and the effective date; significant changes will be mentioned in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

8. No warranty

I work hard to make Beepout fun and reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. I don't promise that it will always be free of bugs or that ads or Game Center will always be available.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded, including the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Where my liability can be limited, it is limited to resupplying the app or the amount you paid me for it, if any.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. If you are a consumer, you also keep any protections that the laws of your own country give you.
